TikTok has added a text-to-speech feature that will read out words users put on their videos. The popular social media app included the new option as an accessibility feature for those with impaired vision, a growing trend for platforms integrating voice technology.

Twitter Makes Alt Text Easier
TikTik isn’t the only social media platform that embraces acessibility.
Twitter alerts users that alt text is possible. Even better, Twitter allows alt text to go beyond its 280 Tweet character count, and educates users on not only why it is important, but also how to do it effectively.
Twitter even allows for 1,000 characters of description. It you tweet an image with lots of text on it, you have enough alt text to get that message out to everyone!
